Cake and tea/ coffee. Or scones/biscuits with tea - some may say those are granny's days but who cares? Nothing wrong in serving it up at home although a majority would rather go out to a coffee shop for a bite and to socialize. I make cakes often and carry on the tradition of cake coffee, family and friends. When some one is ill or any family member pass`s, a main dish and cake is made for the family. It , as a social grace, has fallen out of favor but I indulge in any tradition that I wish.
